Windraider's Zuppke's FleaFlicker
(AKA Zea) RN
Sire: Ch Ellusion van’t Pachthof (Belgium)
Dam: Can Ch Windraider’s Manjula v Bev’s

Wow, what an exciting win this was!  To be reserve, at the national specialty was quite the honor to our boy.  We can't thank Fred enough for handling Zea for us, and taking good care of him while we raised his pups here at home.  Zea is home now, and we are going to try for that last major that he needs to finish his championship.  It won't be professional, but what fun we will have working together with Zea in the ring again.
Besides winning lots of points and hamming it up, Zea has cleared all of his health tests and now has a CHIC # through OFA.  He has earned his Rally Novice, is WORKING on his Rally Advanced, and will hopefully pass his drafting test this month.   Again, thank you Al and Kathy for your careful breeding, your trust in us, and for the sheer pleasure of living with such a wonderful companion.

Jan. 2009

We went to the Rose City Classic in Portland, OR and showed 3 of the 4 days. Zea took a 4 point major and Reserve Breed On Sunday. On Monday he took Reserve Winners.

He also earned his Rally Novice title in the three days we were there. Our friend Krista Gately handled him as Shelly was busy with Bindi.

Thank you Krista for loving our boy and helping out!

Just shy of 13 months and a significant background change!
Happy Birthday Zea!
You are 12 months old and 102 lbs! Your elbow, eyes, and hips are all looking good and as soon as the certificates arrive, they will be posted on our certificate page as well. Kathy and Al, we couldn't be more pleased with how this boy has turned out. His temperament has never wavered even for 1 day. He moves like a cloud moving across the valley...weightless! And there isn't a day that somebody doesn't complement him on his beauty. We are all anxious to see what he looks like when he fully matures! Thank you again!

11 months and his first points! Now starts all the fun stuff!!
10 months old and 90 lbs. We are glad to see his gaining is slowing! Right now he is pretty tall and slender...he has allot of maturing to do physically, but this boy already acts like he has it all down in life. His only vice is when he finds paper lying around...he is SURE it is his JOB to do the shredding.

Zea will be 8 months on 7/12/07. Again, his picture is being taken just a few day early...but he is freshly out of the bath and looking good! He looks so grown up now...but don't let him fool you! He still loves to hide his favorite stuffy (a puppy BMD) and play with Bindi like he is her size!

87 lbs
Zuppke is now 7 months old and 83 lbs. These pictures were taken just a few days before his "birthday" but I thought they were just too cute to not make it to his page

Zea is now 6 months old and 72 lbs!  He is sharing his lime light with 8 new pups...so no bath for the birthday, but he and Evan are still having tons of fun together and he is growing up.

Enjoy the pictures!
5 mo. old and 64lbs.
He may look a little awkward at this stage, (He reminds us of Baloo the Disney Bear) but we are thrilled at the way he is growing so evenly, his easy going personality, and we love his head (we look past all that crazy teenage fluff!). We are definitely exchanging puppy coat for juvenile coat at this point. My 6 year old son was gaiting him and helping him pose for his picture. I am pretty impressed that Zea listened to someone so young and being that Zea out weighs him by 14 lbs!!
16 weeks, 44.5lbs, and as far as I can tell due to the wiggles...19.5" tall at the withers. Zea still has a solid temperament and is simply growing up. He loves to play fetch (maybe he got a little of that Flat Coated Retriever in him? Just joking...but he definitely likes to retrieve.) and romp with the kids.

Zea is 12 weeks and 29lbs

We admire his boldness and curiosity about everything. He loves the kids and everyone else he meets. He is already letting us know when he needs to "visit" the outside, and is quietly sleeping through the night! Below is a picture of Zea, Shyla, Addie, and Evan as they relax after some rough housing!
